Italian Championship: Van den Bosch wins in Latina

Great race in Latina last weekend, it was hot, good organization was good and the races where fast paced and spectacular.

Thierry Van Den Bosch, riding his PMR H2O Aprilia MXV, finished 2nd in the first race and won the second race. Thomas Chareyre (TM-747 Motorsport) won the first race and is the leader in the international championship rankings followed by Davide Gozzini (TM-747 Motorsport), and the points leader of the Italian Championship Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda Racing) who is not yet recovered from pneumonia, 4th is Christian Ravaglia (Suzuki).

In the Italian Open Championship Luca D'Addatto (Honda) took the win, ahead of Massimiliano Porfiri (Honda) and Giulio Lorenzini (TM).

Van Drunen wins at Lelystad

Marcel van Drunen from the Yamaha MVD Goldspeed Team has won the seventh round of the Dutch Open Supermotard Championship at Lelystad on the 29th of August. Because of the bad weather circumstances the organisation decided to cancel the second moto. In the first moto Marcel was riding in second position for a long time. In the final lap he took over the lead and won the race in front of Maik Voorwinden and Erwin Mulder.

FIM announces teams for Supermoto of Nations

The Supermoto of Nations is back in all its former glory. Last year all the top riders decided to race in the Mettet Superbiker instead of the Supermoto of Nations. The German team took the title last year. In 2010 several countries are back in full force:

Italy: Lazzarini, Gozzini and Ravaglia

France: Van den Bosch, Thomas Chareyre and Aurelien Grelier

Germany:  Bernd Hiemer, Jürgen Kunzel , Michi Herrmann

Belgium: Jean-Marc Gaillard, Marc Fraikin and Gérald Delepine

Swiss Supermoto Championship: Dupasquier wins in Lignières

Mass organizer Cuche has again this year organized a Supermoto race weekend on the permanent training track of TCS in Lignières. The route despite a light rain on Saturday as originally planned. On Sunday, the weather was dry and much to the delight of the riders and of course the spectators.

Gozzini delights Italian fans with first GP victory and Red Plate in Sicily

It was an excellent weekend for Davide Gozzini after winning his first GP of the season and becoming the new FIM SuperMoto World Championship leader. Second was Thierry Van Den Bosch and third was Andrea Occhini, who was on the podium for the first time in his professional career. Thomas Chareyre took the Superpole, but was just fourth due to a DNF in the first race.

Teo Monticelli was first overall in the UEM European Championship Open class, while current Championship leader Nastran was second and Fabrizio Bartolini was third. Lukas Höllbacher dominated the S3 class and was proclaimed the 2010 UEM S3 European Champion.
