With the winter stop in sight, it is time to have a look at the new Supermoto season. Marcel van Drunen, European Supermoto Champion / five time Dutch Supermoto Champion , and Michael Wagner, int. driver S2 from Germany, are organizing for the first time an exclusive international Supermoto Masterclass in southern Spain for the year 2010. This seven days trip is focused on an optimal preparation for the new Supermoto season or, in case of the recreation bikers, meant to increase one’s technical skills as well as gaining more machine confidence.
What does the Supermoto Masterclass entail?
Instruction consists of theory, practice and feedback. Trainees attend an extensive programme in which the tricks of the trade concerning the specific riding techniques, are acquired or polished up. Naturally, the essential aspects such as brake-, steering- slide-, start- and jumping techniques will be accounted for as well as the techniques of line riding, off-road riding,
body posture and time-training.
Each training day is programmed in such a way that instructions are only given in the mornings. The afternoons are intended or free riding and time-training. Depending on the number of participants and skill-levels, we ride in two or three groups of 0 minutes. Videotapes are made every day, which are viewed in the group at the end of every training-day. During the video sessions, Marcel will comment on the images in order to give the participants a quick clear-cut insight of their strong points and flaws.
The circuit
The masterclass takes places at the Supermoto circuit of Karting Campillos. This impressive and unique Supermoto circuit is an ample two kilometres in length with a asphalt track-width of 10 metres. Apart from that the circuit consists of a challenging off-road part with many nice curves, table-jumps and even a 40 metres downhill. The off-road part has a length of about 400 metres. The accommodation
As a Supermoto Masterclass participant, you will be accommodated all week at the full-time service resort “Andalusi Golf”. This resort, which is surrounded by a terrific subtropical garden of 15.000 square metres, is situated north-west of Malaga city and is widely known for being awarded the “Home Overseas Award” in the category Best Healthy Living Resort. The resort consists of a limited number of very exclusive 1-room apartments, provided with all comfort for modern man. The apartments are air-conditioned and have a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and microwave, a bathroom, a washing- and drying machine, telephone and television, Of course the apartments have a fantastic view on the subtropical garden with its small lakes, swimming-pools and golf course.
In the throbbing centre of the resort you’ll find the majestic Service Centre, an exclusive 5 star recreation centre with its various leisure-, health- and fitness facilities.
Here a health resort of 2,500 square metres is situated, containing a health spa, jacuzzi, sauna, a heated 25 metre swimming-pool and a fitness centre. There is a restaurant with a healthy Mediterranean cuisine, buffet and tapas bar, a piano bar, a library, a theatre for 380 persons, a cinema and a tennis court. Thanks to all these first class facilities, the warm hospitality and immaculate service of the employees, your stay at "Andalusi Golf” will be the ideal spot to genuinely relax after a day of intensive training.
Arrangement prices
The Supermoto Masterclass takes place in the week of 28 Febrary to 7 March, 2010. You can book the Supermoto Masterclass arrangement for a mere € 1,205.- p.p.* for a 2-person apartment and €1,310.- p.p.* for a 1-person apartment on the basis of half board. Included are free access to the fitness centre, swimming-pool and sauna, motor transportation including spare parts and tools), lunch at the circuit grounds and of course the full 5 days’ training at Karting Campillos.
For accompanying mechanics and family members a special price of €445.- p.p.* has been arranged on the basis of a 2-person
apartment and €560.- p.p.* for a 1-person apartment. This arrangement also includes half board and lunch at the circuit. Prices include VAT. With reservations of price changes, edit- or print errors, our travel and cancellation insurance are based on this offer.
Bike transportation
When you book a Supermoto Masterclass, the transport of your bike is part of the arrangement. The only thing you must do, is deliver your bike to a central assembly point and we will take care of the transportation. Dependent on the number of participants, we create two assembly points. One in Germany and one in Swizerland. The transport of the bikes will take
place from this points with a special trailer combination.
Flight tickets
From the evaluation of previous years with the dutch Supermoto Masterclass, it appeared that participants preferred to travel from airports close to their homes. Taking this into account together with the fluctuating flight tickets we have decided to offer this trip exclusive of flight expenses, which leaves the participants to make their personal choice in departure
preference.

Rent-a-car
During your stay, you’ll be travelling quite some miles from airport to hotel, from hotel to circuit, etc. For these reasons you need to rent a car at the place of destination. It’s your choice to either arrange this yourself or ask us to do this for you. Because of our good contacts in that part of Spain, we are able to offer a rented car at a very reasonable price. Should you not have a motorbike at your disposal, there’s a possibility to rent a bike of the dutch Supermotoschool. The supermotoschool owns some fantastic Yamaha WR450F-bikes.
